Nice Cobra Scott - as good as they get! Oh to be able to park the GT40 in the same garage as the Cobra. |
I agree with you there Peter, I saw the car at Goulburn last year and it really is very well presented.
|
Boxheads right, car is awwwwesome.
Regards. |
Scott - is the very fast 40 yellow with a Gurney bubble by any chance? Any hope of talking him into adding a couple of hairdryers to make it a "very, very fast 40"?

Craig
Boys will be boys - hairdryers.. It goes quick enough already..**) A great purchase if I have the right GT40 in mind. Bernie |

Hi Kris this is a shot of the turbo in behind the front wheel. the awd cobra is starting to be built as soon as i sell my other cobra.
I decided to start from scratch on this one building everthing my self from the ground up. alloy chassis and suspension . Regards oz:3DSMILE: |
Scott,
Are you using T25's? Pretty sweet I must say! The AWD car should be something else. I can't wait to see it. :MECOOL: |
turbos big ones.

Hi Kris originally we used t25 garret units but they were too small made boost at 1800 rpm thru to 4500 . instant torque was great but highway driving just wore them out. so we upgraded the turbos and manifolds the new manifolds are shed 10 stainless steel and the new turbos are t3 's with steel exhaust wheels froma us spec z32 . now it make boost just over 3000 all the way to 7500 and anything up too 15 psi at 12 psi it make 400 rwhp
My new awd cobra I am still deciding on 1 or 2 turbos and weather to have the 2 as twins or sequential. decisons i have to make . Regards OZ:3DSMILE: |
Scotty,
You got mail |
Scott... I have a turbo recommendation:
T51R KAI turbo... spend the money and get a good turbo and blow everyone away at Wakefield :D I have a video of a LandCruiser with this turbo on it. PM me your email address and I will forward it to you... at $4k+ for a Turbo, it might be out of the price range :p Or go a GT45 like this... http://www.fullboost.com.au/content/..._11_3_006b.jpg A big single turbo will give you reasonable economy when you are driing around, but plenty of top end for the track... Isnt a T3 what they run on a TX3/5 Laser? |
