jag rear end
Would anyone know what spring rates i should have in a jag rear end?
|
Spring rates
Stuart there is many variables do you have narrowed wishbones, what angle are your shocks at? this will make a difference to the spring rate you use
I have 450 LB springs in my car and 540 LB in the front some people say that's too heavy I believe not,it has slight understeer at speed(better than oversteer) and sits flat through corners, still not using anti roll bars making chrome moly tube bars at present. hope this can be a guide, if in doubt take your coil/shock units to pedders they can check what inch lbs you have Regards |
Gday Stuart,
This is a good site with a lot of info and has an interactive spring rate calculator. http://www.swayaway.com/Suspension%20Frameset.htm Cheers |
I'll be using original jag springs. I've been in a cobra (whole day drive) that uses these and the ride/handling was fine.

Looks like Kings springs are the go, 450lb at front twin 250lb at rear.

Kings are popular here(probably 'cause they're manuf'd at the gold coast) but you'll be constantly adjusting the ride height in some cases (king of sag)
Eibach or Bilstein are very good alternatives |
