Hi Guys,

Been thinking about building a Cobra for a while, and decided to join up.
Not a Cobra owner yet.
Just in the looking around and seeing what can be done stage at the moment.
I don't even know what engine or trans I'll go for. Then there's the suspension.
Lots of decisions to be made.
What ever I build, I would like to drive daily if practical.
So, do any of you drive daily? (in your Cobra)
Iam keen to hook up with the Melbourne Cobra boys and have a chin wag.

cheers

Welcome new Vic member

poindexter,
Welcome to the forum.
So you want a practical Cobra as a daily driver, well I don't think you can use practical and Cobra in the same breath%/
Depending on how radical you want to go with engine power will dictate how practical it would be as a daily driver (with the cost of fuel that is)
Being a Vic you will need a hard top as I can guarantee you will still get wet with a soft top:eek:
I had to use mine as a daily driver a couple of months ago due to wife pranging the SS but luckily it was summer.
Prose and cons aside a Cobra is still the best fun you can have with your cloths on:D :D
Cheers,
Bryan

Every Day Drive

I use my Cobra as my every day driver, and have done for over a year. I do have a hard top and a soft top. In the past 12 months, I have driven about 20,000 K's. It is in fact my only car, I had a 'sensible' car, but never drove it, so I sold it and just use the Cobra.

I guess I might get sick of it one day, but for the time being, I wouldn't have it any other way. There are a few guys up in QLD that log lots of daily driving in their cars.

Good Luck with whatever road you take. This is certainly a great place to start.

POindexter

Welcome to the forum. Guess the Victoria meetings would be a good start to meet and get a few ideas.

Held - if I'm right - the first Thursday each month at the German Club in Melbourne. At the start of Dandenong Road on the left just after Chapel Street..
