Heater units
Anyone know where to get a heater unit for my CR.
I dont want to use a 12 v hairdryer I want something a little better. Thanks Paul |
Vintage air - compact heater/demister.
Available from TCR in Melbourne. http://www.vintageair.com/ Go to catalogue - then go to page 27 of the catalogue. Cheers |
Hey, don't knock the 12v hairdryer. :D Still going strong in the Harrison after about 3 years. A couple of years ago heading to Nationals I had that 12v hairdryer running on max for half the day while driving through a torrential down pour.
You could also ask Don at Snake Bite. He stocks one that is slightly more compact than the one above. |
Heaters
Mr Rebel1,
How come a Queenslander knows so much about HEATERS:confused:  I know you would be up to date with Air Con, STIFFY |
Mr Stiffy esq. :)
Have you met my first wife? :p If ya did you'd know ;) |
That first wife is still hanging on.
She must be a gluten for punishment:p Stiff (may I call you that?) The reason why Uncle Les is on the ball with heaters is that he causes a fair bit of it on this Site. Good to see him back:eek: Don't tell him. |
Heater
HI Paul,
I am currently installing this heater, I bought from the US. I have only half installed it at the moment so I cannot say how it works yet. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku Phil |
I found a few on Ebay the other day. Just search for heaters (under Cars etc). Unsure how to paste the link but there was a four outlet one for $75 that looked all right (search for heater hotrod and it should come up) By the way, while we're all here, how do I paste an Ebay Item link?...

Thanks guys

I got my heater from Finishline in Florida. Its got 2 side ports for venting to the windscreen demisters and 3 metal flapes that open manually on the front and both sides for heat to the cabin. According to the instructions a shutof valve isnt required so the water circulates continuously. Its got a 2 speed fan. Theres a couple of pictures it my gallery.

Anyone had experience with the Smiths beehive style heater?
I am searching for a heater too but a workmate is pulling his Smiths heater out of his car shortly and I just want to know if these heaters are suitable for the cobra. Can anybody advise? Ciao |
Heaters
Stephen, Again I'm using a genuine Smith's beehive heater and it works ok
last sunday early morning 12 deg car warm in the foot wells demister ok too Regards |
Strange I didn't remember your heater after you kindly took me for a spin in you car bazza but I did take a pic of it having just reviewed my pics.
I haven't yet seen my mate's heater but am presuming they are the same however he did say you could open the various flaps for air direction control by a couple of pull cables, does yours do the same? What would one of these beasties in good condition be worth? Steve |
Heaters
Stephen, the heater is located high up in the passengers foot well
and the 2 flaps are hand operated the demisters work off a cowl surrounding the heater core the tap is operated from under the hood at the back of the inlet manifold Regards |
