questions about ignition leads

Hey all, just wanted to get a bit of info about ignition leads. I am replacing mine but am wondering what is the advantage or disadvantage of using 8.8mm or 10mm leads (currently have 8mm). Is there a better spark? The diameter of the wire inside seems to be the same, just more insulation. Also is there a brand that is best? I was going to use Top Gun, but is there something else you recommend? Thanks for everyone's help.
cheers

Ignition leads

Dave,
I use Top Gun 8.8's because of the thicker insulation and you can get them in a kit so you can cut them to length yourself and do a neater looming job.
With the premade ones you often end up with some either to long or to short.
I made my own crimp tool for crimping the clips on the wires.
Cheers,
Bryan

I reckon the best leads come from here, http://www.iceignition.com.au

They will custom make the leads to the lengths you specify....
