need help with air filter

Hey all, I am trying to find a new air filter for the cobra but can't seem to get one anywhere. I have tried redline and was told it will be a 4 week wait. no help from K&N either. I am in Noosa but am travelling through Brisbane on Saturday. Doe anyone know where I can get one? It is the long oval-shaped 'cobra-type' air filter. Length 530mm, width 250mm, 2 inches high. I'll try to upload photos here, but if it doesn't work they'll be in the gallery.

I purchased my filters from Tony De Branda. Rubber top and base mesh with paper filter see my photo. Check out his advert. in Kit Car mag. Let me know if you have trouble finding a mag. I will chase the add up when back home. By the looks of it I am going to have to get some imported from the US. Otherwise wait the 4 weeks for redline to get some in. Does anyone know anywhere local (ie Australia) that may have some or does anyone have a spare they can sell. Bernie i'd love you to come up here and stay...I might even sleep in the spare room and let you share with the missus...:rolleyes:

I've seen them on the fordracingparts.com too. Check with your local Ford dealership.

I have a K@N filter, the # embosed on it is C210A12,its a great filter in that it can be washed and reoiled several times over. It is the same shape that your after although it is slighty wider at 260 mm and 48mm high. Keep chasing baldwin filters, i know they have supplied a paper element in the style you want from the melbourne store. |

guys, thanks for all the help with the filter. I finally managed to track on down in Yatala (qld) which I'll grab on the way down to gold coast this weekend. I think it must be the only one left in Australia. Made about 40 phone calls to places all around australia and they were allout of stock (only cost me $35 too, which I thought was pretty cheap. Might have to get a couple of back-ups.
