Everything looks the same as mine! I only got the steel flywheel though.
Is that an option 3 organic clutch? What does the M12 stand for? Viper internals? Cheers, Ben |
It is the latest generation of the T56 with triple sincro's different gearing and a few other upgrades which I willput to the test.
Mal told me they tested the ali flywheel against the steel and it had a huge differance in engine response |
Craig
are you going to relocate the reverse lockout solenoid ? Dont want you going backwards shifting into 5th  I have the tap if you want to borrow it to drill & tap to suit solenoid. |
Hi Craig, where did you get the tranny and bits....and if you don't mind...what was the damage?

My brother has also been considering upgrading gearboxes.
Has been using 2nd hand Tremec 3550(non TKO). Would love to move to Tremec TKO 600 (ratio's of 500 are not suitable). Advantages of Tremec TKO 600 over 3550: Better ratio's for track, especially .82 5th, useable fifth gear(he needs it). 3550 has .68 5th. Nice quick shifter so that he can get gears with ease, especially 5th. Increased torque rating, you've got to think your on borrowed time when your producing close to twice the torque your gearbox is rated for. :( And you regulary circuit and strip race. Upgrading the gearbox will result in faster track times. Gearbox upgrades don't come cheap and the upgrade cost is going to be a killer and major stumbling block at the moment. |

for all the bits there was only small change left out of 7K if you need any particulars of my setup let me know cheers |
I am building an Almac/Berry cobra in NewZealand. I have a LS1 and t56 from a 2002 carmaro. Your shifter has been relocated from the rear to the front plate. I have had a quick look into whats involved in moving this forward. but was wondering if there was an after market kit to achieve this? Any knowlegde would be a help.
Also is there still a web site with aussie LS1 cobras. Thought i'd seen one but cant find anything on the net Cheers Nathan |
