Qld visit
 

Hey all you sunny north cobraphiles, I'm holidaying the last two weeks of September on the Gold and Sunshine coasts.

Any chance of catching up with my far north bretheren?

Am planning to visit Snake Bite at the very least.

I should be around and hopefully have some time to spare in September.

I'm on northern Gold Coast. About 5 mins from Snake Bite. Be worth putting aside some time and seeing the Cobra sights - Snake Bite, Harrison(just up the road) and maybe even DRB(20mins away) if we can tee it up. FFF will probably have a Cobra or two bring painted, they are just across the road from the above. Gold Coast is basically Cobra/GT40 central, lots to see and do, although 1st weekend of month is the best time.

You will miss all the club meetings. But Speed on Tweed is on, on the southern Gold Coast on 16th & 17th September. The couple of local original GT40's always roll up and least one should be racing. Probably sure of seeing an original Cobra or two as well. And plenty of other notable historics.

If you want to see Club members and their Cobra's & GT40's racing, SAS Sprints is on 16th Sep. Also Top Gear on the 17th Sep, both are at Queensland Raceway(1hr from Gold Coast). Top Gear is grid start, door handle to door handle. Normally a few Cobra's compete in this, but might be getting a little close to the Nationals.

I'm assuming you are coming up with family. Well lets hope you get some time off(Cobra time) for good behaviour. :)

We leave for Nationals on the 27th.

Hi Steve!

I met up with some of our Northern cousins about 2 years ago. Managed to put some faces to the handles of Rebel1 (Les), 750hp (Graig) Ozvenom (Scott) Cameron Parsons (Cameron Parsons) etc. Real friendly bunch up there. The Qld CC was really well organised and very friendly. Must the the weather up there or something. :)

Thanks all guys I will get around to replying to you all shortly and will tee up what I can, family commitments allowing.
