Hi Alvin,

I built this alternator mount for Bernies 351W. The mount is billet aluminium and is mostly hidden underneath. It uses one of the threaded holes in the front of the passengers side cylinder head as the pivot point. This is braced to one of the water pump bolts. The adjuster is made from aluminium with left and right hand threaded stainless ends.

Unfortunately one of the ends broke at the weld so I replaced the adjuster with later version I made for my alternator with left and right hand threaded rod ends. The threaded ajuster makes it dead easy to set the belt tension. No more levering the alternator over with a big screw driver while you tighten up the adjustment bolt.

Bernie will probably be able to tell you how it's running. He must have done a fair few miles with it now.

Here's mine, You can see the re designed belt tension rod. The pivot works in the same way as the one I did for Bernie except it's attached low down on the block rather than up on the cylinder head.

Cameron,
I've used a Moroso bracket.
Just need to machine up a spacer for my idle pulley so no pics as yet.

It's a similar deal to Mike's set up.
I found it really hard to find a ford alternator bracket for a passenger side mount (to avoid any clearance issues with the steering rod).
