I had a chance to see all the various threads\posts on this subject before they were moderated, deleted or edited and still have NO CLUE what the problem is\was.

And thats the point! Just a bunch on name calling and accusations without the slightest bit about the facts is ridiculous.

...and to all a good night.

Les, Bernie.....

A spade is not a shovel as a shovel is not a spade:p

A shovel has sides and is designed for moving materials whereas a spade generally has no sides and is designed to cut through materials such as earth.

Things you learn working in the Construction Industry:rolleyes:

And that is why the Oxford Dictionary evolved from the motherland:p

I know being a losing ashes fan - and Les, don't start on that one:eek:

Aaah now that makes sense..:3DSMILE:

My spade is next to the hearts, clubs and diamonds. I'm just trying to work out how I dig holes though.

Aaah I see I digging myself into one now..%/

See you all. Have a good one.

Ahhhh Uncle Pete, what a fine analogy you make. Shovels, spades, edges and cricket. :p

During my recouperation, I had the opportunity to watch the game of gentleman. Not often do I watch this as it is a little like watching paint dry and secondly, I certainly don't make claim to being a gentleman. :o

What I did notice tho Uncle Pete, that had the visiting team used a bat with a wider edge like a shovel, that just maybe they could have made more runs.

No no no Les.

Had they used a shovel or even a spade instead of a bat they simply would (as Bernie has) dug themselves into a hole even faster than the rate they did with a bat%/ %/
