Arranged a tow today and was not looking forward to pushing it out of the garage in the 42C heat. Decided to give it a crank. Fires first go! Anyway I stick it on the truck, as I figured if the only time I can drive it is when it's above 40C, I might as well sell it.
Made me think it could be the air flow meter as Peter Craig suggested. We'll see! Richard |
Well!!!!
HI Richard,
How did you go with your car today? I hope you can sort it out, it is not good to hear you say you want to sell it. I would not mid having a look at your set up, I am assuming you are running a MAFless system, running on Manifold pressure and throttle position. My experience with A Motec has been fantastic, once it is set up properly. Phil |
Richard,
I can understand your frustration. When mine played up I said to my mechanic keep it until you fix it. As I didn't have a diagnostics plug on the car, he had it for a week tracing the fault. I had a few wiring issues, which resulted him spending a couple of hours a day (ling enough upside down in the cockpit) fixing it. Without a diagnostics plug discovering the problem was a lot harder, but in the end he got there. The car has never failed to start since:) |
