second post .... " Soon, we're going to do a late-model Corvette-powered one for an Aussie. They must comply with strict emission laws so an FE is not practical."

With so many manufacturers in Oz, who would be silly enough to import unless it was an alloy body?????

Exactly my thoughts Beejay. A Kirkham yes....but a glass car...hmmm. can't see the advantage.

The ERA's are blu$$y nice cars but I wonder if the chassis is up to Oz approval.

I would have thought one of the local cars with an LS2 would be a killer combination. Maybe that's the key...who said LS2.....something bigger maybe?

Just thought I'd shake the trees and see what/who fell out.

The chassis design on the ERA is very similar to a well known local manufacturer. If you ever want to see a decent build manual you can download one without pics from the era web site. its a real beauty...I wish the local guys would copy that as well!

ERA do seem to be one of the best in the US, and definately a great shape - worth the hassle with importing and compliance though? There would be simpler options. Love to see one up close for comparison with whats available locally.

Cheers.

Ha Ha a manual ?...My manufacturer (now sold the company) told me if I don't know how to build a car I shouldn't own one ! The only paper work I got was the receipt !
