Maintaining Shiny Bits

Sometime in the future when I have finished building I'll be wanting to polish the shiny bits.

What are the best products for polishing and protecting ally, stainless steel, chrome and paintwork?

Thanks
Martin

keep it shinin

I just used Zoop Seal on all my engine polished parts and on my sons chrome 22 inch wheels. It is a ceramic coating that is absorbed into the metal and prevents oxidation. Works great and lasts for several years so you dont have to polish those things ever again- just occasional wash and dry.

Its available from Cobra Valley. Costs $99 and I still have enough left to do another engine.:D

Keep saying it..............

You can't go past Car Lack (as used by BMW and Mercedes). You can now get it in Aus. Do a search on google.

Cleans and polishes everything!

If not Car Lack, Bowden do a polish for shiny bits. Works well and rejuvinates. Not as quick as Car Lack to apply, but does the job.

Got it from an interstate transport parts and accessory store it's what the truckies use.

I've read alot about ZOOPS...expensive but good.
You Pay for what you get ! Polishing a new car and its shiny bits is fun...at the start. Other things tend to prioritise over the tedium. I am experiencing such an issue with my new car. The car will eventually win ! But..anything that makes the job easier or less frequent is definitely welcome.
Smithy,
