Air Intake Air Sensor for LS1
 
Hi Guys,

Can someone help with a part number for the air intake sensor to suit the LS1.
I'm told 12160245 is for series 1 and 12160744 is for series 2 what ever that means. They were both under VX 2002 which is my motor age but they could not tell me the difference.

As long as the plug on your loom matches the early one is the one to go for.

The earlier one plugs into the air box and is retained with a spring clip. The later one goes in the rubber intake pipe. The early one is about $10 with the clip whilst the later on is about $50. The early one is much easier to fit into custom air boxes and intake pipes. I used one on my first 4" stainless intake system and I also machined a hole in the base of my new billet air cleaner for one.
