LS1 Fuel system and Wiring Diagram

Help Can someone provide me with a wiring diagram and fuel system diagram for a 2004 LS1. I see from an old thread there have been PDF files floating around.
Thanks

Ya beat me to it Dale.

sambo 04-10-2007 09:43 PM

Are these LS1 systems similar to L76/LS2 engines? If so, can someone please PM me too?! :)

sideshow 04-11-2007 01:38 AM

nope ls2 is totally different

boxhead 04-11-2007 04:23 AM

I will see what I can get for you Sambo.
Unless you have easy access to it Sideshow?

I no longer work at the Holden Dealership so I cant just go and get it anymore.

No worries fellas, just curious. I know the pin-outs etc will have changed, but when you have zero knowledge about these things anything helps.

If its not too much trouble, can I also get a copy of this info??
All the best,
Luke.....

Mac,

How's the build going - did you pick up the Harrison?

I'm hopefully getting down to the Cleveland Autospectacular later in the month (I have a certain trophy to regain). If you're passing shout out (I'm a bugger for forgetting a face) and we'll have a yarn

macloft 04-11-2007 03:25 PM

Builds going great Everything is fitting well. Cant get over how straight the body is
The suspension/brakes in place. Motor/ gearbox is going in. Currently working on the fuel system and sorting the harness routing.

sorry but i do wiring for a living so unfortunately i dont hand anyhting out

if you sned me the loom i can wire it up with relays and whatever is needed

to suit your application for a fee

as i said in another post the very late model ls1 and ls2 depending on where it was bought might comne with missing parts

like a new ls1 from holden wont have o2 sensors
ls1 fly by wire from wreckers wont have pedal sensor plug
id say ls2 is same
holden has told me to get everything u need to get everything working
on an ls2 u need 2 or 3 looms engine body and not sure what 3rd one was
im slowly buying in the small missing parts or plugs so at the end u dont have to buy a whole extra loom

as i get stuff in i put them on my website and soon will have newsletter to subsrcibers which will show new parts

im working up at newcastle for 2 days now when i get back if u want i will do a write up and diagram for setting fuel system up

thanks

jim

Thanks Jim, that would be a great help for anyone in the build phase at the moment. Perhaps put your website into your profile or post it again here - I couldn't find it after a quick search of the forum! Cheers.

Edit: Found it. http://spw.starkie.net

got a call about ls2 plugs

just for those who dont know

the ls2 6lt has 3 main wiring looms

one is on the engine and engine ecu and auto ecu and auto

one is from engine ecu to power and other stuff

and one goes to other stuff and pedal sensor i think

when u get ls2 u just get the main loom

i think price to buy the other 2 looms will reach maybe 1000 bucks or more

anyway i hope to get available parts to make the loom which goes on ecu and pedal and have left over wires for power etc

will keep u all posted it wont be cheap but will be much cheaper than buying looms from holden

i think maybe people should start doin research before jumpin to far into deep
end with the very late model engines

as i just got an ls1 fly by wire goin and stupid factory holden diagrams were wrong but now i have my own modified ones to do the others abit quicker i hope heheeh

For those that need it I have a printed version of the LS1 engine wiring (VT2 & VX1) and a printed version of the LS2 wiring (VX2 & VY1).
Pm me a fax number and I will shoot it through.
Also I tried to get the L76 but found the programme very difficult to follow, ie click here for this, click here for that.
There was no overall diagram, but the VE (L76) workshop manual should be available from your local Holden dealer, the dealer I used to work at tried to source a part number for me but it was not listed yet, they said that best thing to do would be to get your local dealer (where your going to purchase from) to contact Holden parts help desk - they only work weekdays.
