Harrison Cobra Door Latches
Help
I left my build instructions at work and am going to wreckers tomorrow. What are the model of Ford Falcon Door latches that are used on Harrison Cobras. |
It's been years since I was chasing these at the swap meets.
Falcon XD-XF. Can't remember if it was front or rear. I hope someone else can back me up here. Will have plenty of people to ask tomorrow morning at the club meeting. |
If it's XD falcon then thats the same as CR. might not be worth using crappy old parts from the wreckers. You can pick the whole lot up new from Ford for about $150 from memory. That included the striker, lock and internal latch mechanism for both sides.

Though mine's a GForce I used XE/XF they seem a common part!
Don't listen to Mike he's got too much dosh - used parts are working fine in my bomb, and you certainly feel more inclined to hack into and mod used parts over new! And really what can go terribly wrong with a door latch and striker? Cheers |
Latches less worn
Hi I would sugest if you are going to use s/hand latches get the rears as they will have generally a lot less use and are in better condition. you still need a left and a right.
my 2 cents worth Regards oz |
Bugger beaten to it by Oz. I just checked our build spreadsheet.
Yeah, just look for a low use set of the rear. It's easy to spot the wear on the tongue etc. Our Harrison has Falcon rear latches bought 2nd hand from a swap meet. |
Thanks Guys To busy getting parts for Labour Day will skip tomorrows meeting
