Big Smiles

Yep thats right guys and gals , Betty has been engineered and now she is off for a blue slip.
And can I tell you what a relief it is.
Im on the home straight now and if the RTA get things rolling she would have been built with rego within 12 months.
Damm im happy today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tenrocca 05-08-2007 06:16 PM

Well done Paul - You will have to give all us locals a run down on your engineer - sounded like a reasonably painless process?

Cant wait to see her on the road.

:D

Cheers

Churchy 05-08-2007 06:18 PM

Congratulations Paul - a great looking car and I also can't wait to see her.

slow 427 05-08-2007 06:38 PM

Thanks guys the engineer is a great guy called Peter Gillard.
He is in Leichhardt 0412 546 825.
He is very fast and fair, but in saying that he plays by the rules.
And knows of all the new ADR,s .
Thanks Paul

Mando 05-08-2007 09:37 PM

Youve done well to reach rego after your first year of having the kit, well done. I started in July 2002 and I reckon Ive got 2 years to go.
Congratulations.

Regards.

Plums 05-08-2007 10:09 PM

Excellent news Paul, bet you can't wait to get out on the road :D

My target was to finish within 12 months but my new goal is to just start it within 12 months.... I haven't touched mine for 3 months now

Churchy 05-08-2007 11:21 PM

Next month will be two years since getting the chassis and body, and I reckon we are still at least 12 months away from wacking on the sidepipes.

Paul well done on getting it finshed so quickly, and with such a good build quality.

slow 427 05-08-2007 11:40 PM

Thanks again guy smile all round at this end

Gav 05-09-2007 02:07 AM

Awsome work Slowy,
Betty rocks :D

stephen low 05-09-2007 06:28 AM

Slow 427 well done but there had to be motivation there somewhere to achieve a 12 month build, what was it? Could I say clearly you're single?

My wife tends to look at me now as if I am a stranger coming in back from the shed and thats only since Feb last year. But motivation gets you going, for me it's not having to transplant a different engine over the AU if I get it registered this year, and I do expect to be registered!

So what's the secret?

And finally to end the mistaken identity, my new avitar spells it all out distinctly. Ignore that it's currently on my buzz bomb twin cam, the cobra will be the official slowmeister when its time comes!

So you can call me Mr Slowy!

Hope you've got Slow 427 plates, Slow 427!!

slow 427 05-09-2007 05:19 PM

Thanks SLOWY but the secret is im self employed and have taken a few months off work top get it finished.
And I do have a girlfriend who understands , that a mans gotta go what a mans gotta do,,,,build a cobra!
Thanks slow427

Beejay 05-10-2007 01:05 AM

Well done Paul.

Can't wait to hear it!!!!!!

Ben

stephen low 05-10-2007 02:36 AM

That's the right attitude, but as I have a ball and chain and 3 dependants it's a tad more difficult to take a year off!!

But the cheese n kisses does understand my disappearing act.

Good luck too you and now happy driving!!

slow 427 05-10-2007 05:11 PM

Thanks , but I'm sure you all agree half the fun is building them.
Now what the hell am I going to do ????

Aussie Mike 05-10-2007 05:59 PM

Race it. **) **)

Tenrocca 05-10-2007 06:21 PM

Paul - you really need some updated pics in your gallery :)

Asp302 05-13-2007 03:37 AM

The secret is to get her indoors envolved in the shed work and ask forher help not just for the odd beer to be opened for you.If that does not work buy her a mustang and watch your progges take off.

boss290cobra 05-19-2007 04:46 AM
