Notice the fuel filler is in the boot and side pipes. Was this a race car, converted for the street?

Was previously listed on ebay on 23/04/07 for the same price. Obviously it did not sell.

The ad said "fresh engine". Could any actual CSX car be worth that much without the original engine? Not tyring to start something - I am just not that informed about such things.

mickmate 05-09-2007 08:20 PM

I'm thinking that fresh engine means the original engine with a fresh set of rings, bearings etc. I see they're using the same pictures as last ime they advertised it.

Also notice that in the photos the engine is not even installed. You can tell by how high it is sitting in the front.

Wouldn't you think they would go to more trouble on the photos and description...try to generate some interest and passion for the vehicle.

Crazy how you need E-Bay to sell such a car!

A car such as this should sell itself (even with such a price tag)

More likely the other way around. Looks like a street car "SC"ised to me.

I'm with you Stiff.
You would be forgiven for thinking that at least a shot of its compliance plates would be included.

That rear boot picture doesn't look quite right, dont recall from any of my books anything looking like that.

mickmate 05-14-2007 05:58 AM

Boot details

http://www.prc68.com/I/Cob_Trnk.html
will show more original details. It is a converted street car, they have a flat boot floor and smaller tank under it to put the spare in there. Also note the longer cover pieces each side for the street car exhaust pipes.
