Fly by wire for Gen IV Chev
Ok so plenty of people are fitting these new Chevs to their cars now. Since they come with a fly-by-wire pedal, I'm interested to hear what's involved. Any tips/tricks or gotchyas that you can share? Do they need calibrating and if so, what's involved? Etc.
I assume it's a case of taking the donor vehicle's pedal box and grinding off the accelerator pedal mount? Has anyone done this with the XF pedal box typically used on the Harrison kit? Paul |
yes u need the pedal to match the engine
another thing is the engine loom is in 2 pieces one piece is on the engine and runs the coils and injectors and some other **** the 2nd loom does air flow air temp and gbox stuff and power and stuff the problem is the 2nd loom is part of the fusebox headlight sectiuon body loom so its expensive from holden this loom also has the 2nd plug on the ecu i have all the parts to make the missing loom and can supply it to different finished levels it will be cheaper and simplier than buying the whole front lom from holden and then still having to modifiy and cut the loom up ill be making new looms soon when i get some spare time as i have 2 looms already ordered |
Sounds great sideshow. Please let us know when you're making more as I'll probably order one.
