Congrats, yeah, you don't feel the cold as much when you are driving a Cobra. :D
Don Pilling from Snake Bite(0755290877) can supply stainless set of soft top bows(frame) and mounts to suit your RMC. Then just find a local trimmer to do the fabric part. See what recommendations you get here for a trimmer. When you get a chance post some photos of your Cobra in your gallery. Would love to see what it looks like. |
Well done,
Peterp,
Another fine Cobra example. As for trimmers in Vic there are a few, Gary Blackman's in Richmond, Neil Lichfield in Mt Eliza, and another one in Moorabbin, I forget his name. STIFFY |
I think the one in Moorabbin did Tony Cram's car, using BMW or Merc material which he said was well worth the money.

Soft Top for RMC
Peter,
Your car is the same model as mine. Here is an early picture of my roof. As sambo has stated I used the Mercedes cloth. It's not that much more the main cost is to manufacture. Bow set is from Don Pilling QLD. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...ith_Roof_1.jpg Trimmer was Chris O'Shea Motor Trimming 3 Edgecombe Crt Moorabbin (03) 9555 0002. All the other suggestions above are good also. There are a few around Melbourne. Cheers Tony |
Tony, that's the exact shot that came to mind. :) By the way, who did your paint and would you recommend them?
|
Thats him.....
Peterp,
I used Chris O'shea to redo my cover after I changed the roll hoop.He is a really nice bloke and does all his own work. STIFFY |

Paint
Sambo,
Bought the car on the road and painted (Painted in WA). Colour is Porsche Guards Red. Is starting to look a bit tired in spots and has a few road battle scars....not to mention a plastic cup scrub from my daughter has significantly reduced the paint thickness in some places after polishing the damage out:eek: !!!. Plenty of good painters around Melbourne even one or two in the club. Cheers TC |
