Time for an update
Hey there all the boys and girls in Cobra land.
I recently had some time of work and put some more work into the Cobra. Following are some pictures. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...t_2007_-_3.jpg http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...pt_2007_-4.jpg Engine pulley setup. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...t_2007_038.jpg R/H side under car headers (for rego) all made. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...t_2007_036.jpg L/H side under car headers (again for rego) all made. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...t_2007_035.jpg Underside all painted. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...t_2007_019.jpg Fuel lines and vapour lines around tank all routed and secured. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...t_2007_034.jpg |
Nice work!
Boxhead, coming together very, very nicely!
I like! :D Stef |
Looking good Boxhead, though a shame about the darkside factor there!!
How did you flip the body for painting, lots of (un)willing helpers? Cheers |
Good to see another 'open air' garage! :) Coming along nicely Boxhead.
What kind of seats are you using? I like the gauges too, what are they? |
The seats I bought off eBay acouple of years ago, from memory they where about $250 for the pair.
The gauges are all pricol except the clock (they dont make one) so it is smiths. It is only the body that is in the open air, the wind blew up on Sunday night and it has moved about 18 inches. I have put it back on the tyres again and tied it down now. It will most likely be that way for another week (waiting for some rubber lined "P" clips to secure the fuel lines inside the trans tunnel. Then it is time to call my mates again to flip the body over and paint the engine bay, I will go with a black engine bay for now (plan to line it with aluminium later). After that it is hopefully body back on for the last time. Get the AN braided furl lines made and start the bastard for the first time. I will button up and bled out the clutch and brake system before I start it, cause it would kill me to hear it start and not be able to move it under its own steam. |
Hi Box Head
Can you put a pic of the fuel tank straps up? I got a VS tank and are having trouble fitting it. Theres no room to change the fuel pump! |
There should be something in the build manual about that.
Cheers |
David,
Looking good! See you have a rubber tree in the background. What sort of tyres does it drop? |

There is no access to the intank fuel pump with the tank in situ. |
