Glue?
Simple enough question, what does everybody use to ‘glue’ things onto their Cobras. For example side emblems (Ford 427) & boot and bonnet badges (Cobra Badges). I only ask because mine don’t seem to stick properly!
Any jokes relating to Ford powered Cobras and Glue from LS boys will not be tolerated. :o :JEKYLHYDE |

I am suprised it goes fast enough for them to come off. I havent fixed any to my car but I do know that when I was working at a panel beater, they used to use double sided tape, best bet is to use the 3M brand as it works best. Just make sure you clean any polish off from where you are going to stick the emblem. Best cleaner is prepsol. |

Hell....I can see why you wanna be careful what glue to use Blair.
I spose if you're thinking of putting a really nice engine in it later then you'd want the ford badges to come off hey?? ;)  |
I hate every one of you!
|
I think you'd better use genuine Motorcraft badge glue... :p

Sikaflex is better than silicone, silicone that comes in a tube as very strong acids in it and it may stuff your paint if you ever need to remove it.

Silicone glue most likely wont work. And you are correct, atleast yours is going. If we dont have another dog requireing surgery in the next month then I should be driving mine up and down the driveway soon. |
What about glue to bond pieces of wood to the fibreglass to attach the dash?

Once in place, don't plan on getting it off, but 3M's "gorilla snot", aka Weatherstrip Adhesive, works. Just don't apply too much of this stuff because that yuky yellow goo will squeeze out. Have some solvent handy on a rag to wipe it away just in case.
About glue and the darksiders vs. Fords, I didn't need any glue to keep the front of my Cobra glued to the back of my brother's C6 Z06. |
Fellas I reckon there is only one option after some trial and error.
3m double sided tape is definately 'the go'. Easy to use, sticks like Coco_Cobras **** to a blanket and cheap. Actually it is that good that I am seriously considering taping my mother in laws video camera to the side of the Cobra and getting some moving shots.:JEKYLHYDE  |
I told you the 3M stuff was good.
Would a Darksider lie to you? |
