Pedal Box

Hi All,

In gathering information on all things cobra's, I have sat in a Robnell and Kirkham lately. Being that I am tall, I looked over the windscreen, but floorpans can be lowered, and bodies can be stretched a bit to accomodate a bit of extra leg room, so no real biggie there:D

What I have found is that the pedal box area is another area where my overall comfort needs to be considered, and given that the above two are tight, and are considered pretty good replicas I was wondering what is done with other kits in this area to accomodate 2 x size 13 feet

When is there a Melb cobra day so i can see a few more cars?.

Retrim your seats and pull most of the foam out of the back and bottom of them, also dont use the runners on the seats.
I'm 6'3 and fit in my Classic revival easily

For large feet....surgery?

Not really an option, so fabricating your own pedal arrangements or modifying stock versions from some vehicle to suit.

Having watched another builder slice into his fibreglass body to achieve the best result for him, take the attitude it is all do-able, you just need time and perhaps the right parts to start from.

Clearly your comments on chassis mods shows this but be wary about mods that intrinsically change a chassis structure away from the manufacturer's designed and approved specs. You could be forced to show a modified chassis is still compliant. Unlikely but the cost of re-engineering would be a frightening one off expense.

CCVic meets first Thursday in the month so 1 November is looming and there might be a few cars turn up if the weather is good. Meet at the Tivoli German club on north side of Dandenong Road Prahran between Williams and Orrong Roads.

Cheers

Oh and tell em Slowy sent you....wont do you any good but it's a great throw away line
