T5 gearbox kits

Given my T5 box is a bit dodgy but will suffice until winter, I may as well research suppliers to enable me to gather the bits needed to repair it.

Can anyone recommend a suitable gearbox doctor for me to source a general bearing and seal kit.

As the box does pop out of fourth as well, I'll need to review the rest of the box at that time too. So I'll be needing other bits too, hence the desire to deal with someone that knows their stuff.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Hello Stephen

Summit has a Ford Racing T-5 rebuild kit for US$255.95
Ford Racing T-5 Transmission Rebuild Kits: FMS-M-7000-A - summitracing.com

They also have whole boxes (Ford Racing 'Super Duty') for US$1400 which might be worth considering depending on how severe the problems with your box are.

Good luck with the Tranny - going to make ShelbyFest?

Thanks Michael.

Yes I just need to enter as I'd booked the accommodation some time ago and I've already arranged the trailer. The confidence levels aren't high enough to trust driving there and back plus the track work.

I don't know if I need to be wary about US T-5 versus the local version. I'm not sure if they all run the same bits, hence a local provider might be a safer option for the parts to be sure.

With luck someone else might be able comment on this detail.

Cheers
