Port Campbell run
Hi all,
Unfortunately I had a wedding on Saturday and could not make the run to Port Campbell. How was it. Any pictures... |
Had 20 adults and 12 kids at the Saturday night dinner.
Ian took us all for rides along the Great Ocean Road coast line the next morning in his helicopter. The smile on my little girls face after jumping out of the helicopter was worth her weight in gold. Must say that it is a big bonus when you can have some quality family time and a time with friends (with and without Cobras) on the same weekend. This was a great follow-up event after the huge turn out at the Lysterfield lake Easter Lunch, Great Alpine road long weekend and ShelbyFest. Coming up we have; a booked out Presidents dinner, the Motec/Robnell run next weekend with a few interstaters coming down and a girls night out later in the month. It's been a busy start to the year. I have never seen the Vic club so healthy. The committee is to be congratulated. |
It was also great catching up with some of our Western Victorian country members on the weekend.

Mmm I bet Ian at 12 Apostles helicopters will have this photo as a screen saver now.
Sorry I missed it - but I would not have been game to let Anne go on her own.. Great to hear that there are so many great driving events and activities happening at the moment. Hope to get involved again soon. Bernie PS - I missed 'Weekend at Bernie's" held last weekend at Mt. Gambier. Mmm and breakfast at my business also.... "Weekend at Bernie's" without Bernie.. |

Mt Gambier Run
It was a good run by all acounts. I was planning to go but unfortunately my injectors, I'm doing some mods atm, arrived too late from the States for me to join in.
The lads from CCCSA asked MCOCi if we would like to participate in a run with them and Mt Gambier was the agreed meeting point. The convoy left Mebourne on Friday evening, stopping at Lorne overnight. In the morning the group headed to Portland for Lunch where they met up with a local MCOCi club member, before heading to your home town of Mt Gambier where they met up with the boys from CCCSA for dinner. Sunday was spent cruising to the local attractions before the two clubs parted ways to head home after lunch. Pity I missed it!!!! |

Mt. Gambier is always a good driving destination as you can spend a full day of driving - and stops - to get there. Accommodation and food makes it a value added location. Not to mention that 5 star restaurant across the road from the motel..:3DSMILE: Did anyone take some pictures - perhaps 'Post' here... |
I loved the park atop the hill called Blue Lake. I would love a go at the hillclimb track they have there in my GT40. What a neat thing to have a hillclimb track in your city park.
Reptyl, Fantastic photo !! Ian will have that on his wall for sure. Hersh:) |
Some photos were projected at the club meeting this week but I don't think the member who took the photos is a member of CC. There was a great photo above the car park in the blue lake crator. The blue colour from the lake was striking in the photo, must be even better in person. You can expect there to be some photos in the next edition of Snaketales. Pitty the mag is in black & white!
