LS2\L76\L98 electronic pedal
Anyone have any pics of how they mounted their Pedal - about one of the last wiring things I have left to go, and am curious how people went with this.

Hi when i mounted the throttle in a customers drb cobra i cut down the plastic bracket it came on and made a metal mount to go on the plastic bracket then mounted it to the fire wall .
I had to re-enforce the bracket as it flexed a little. make sure its solidly mounted. Also FYI the throttle will not open until the engine is started. It will reset its self to a starting position when you turn on the ignition you can hear it. The only negative from the customer is it feels a little vague some times when you gas it up. other than that it works fine. Regards oz. |

Sorry I can't give you any pics Andrew, but what problems are you having with the wiring? My issue will be with the angle and offset of the pedal, not the wiring plug.
My fly by wire pedal is at home ready to go. It's going in next to a manual XF Falcon pedal box which is in the car but the pedal levers need straightening and I'm not going to mount the accelerator until that's done. Before that can be done I need to finalise the steering column and seat position (with thanks to M. Govert) :) Re pedal "vagueness" I heard that this can be calibrated in the engine management software. Maybe GM incorporate a slight pedal delay to smooth out driveline forces and road manners - does anyone know? Plums? |
Sambo - yep the wiring stuff is easy - its not rocket surgery. Problem is where and how to mount the pedal. Im taking a trip over to Mizz's this week to get a feel for and measure his pedals. Once I do bend and modify and fit the fast pedal I want it to be in the right spot.

One thing to bear in mind when you are working out the positioning of the loud pedal...... take into account the carpet and/or underlay!!!
It's something I didn't do, and now my pedal feels a bit too low now that the carpet and mats are in... :( |
This is what I ended up doing for anyone with the same dilema - feels good under foot, and I can adjust it in and out and for travel by winding the link in\out and moving the link to different holes.
