I guess Unopened is not the right term. What I'm refering to is just changing the cam and valve springs. A good exhaust, a cold air intake and a tune. No other components other than the cam and springs in the motor being touched.

Hey Stiffy

Your Daytona deserves the best.

So why not go with the original configuration and drop in a 289 :)

As luck would have it - I have a spare one kicking around.

And since you're such a good mate I can probably give it away at less than the price of one of those new fangled LS thingys

It's only blue in spots. There's a nice shade of brown on it and some grey and some black bits too. :p

Looks like a skid mark with alloy rocker covers to me.
Of coarse that is only my opinion. :D

Master piece

Throw a carb on that, a set of headers and she would do another 100k.

Yep you probably would get another 100KM out of it :p

Like your new sig Phil.

New Sig

I have had that for a while now after the last ford, chev discussion.

You change a cam you have opened a motor, in my book if you touch a component that touches engine oil you have opened a motor.

I got me a new quote in my sig too phil - my favourite of the last day or 2.....:D

"Anyone can do that...." LOL

Aussie Mike 06-17-2008 06:04 AM

Yes it was my mistake in that thread. I meant to say not changing the stock heads or rotating assembly. %/
