Hadnt realised that it had been so long but were back into it again.
The short motor is finally complete and the heads should be on tomorrow ready for a coat of paint and then the final finishing touches. So far the "fix the oil leaks and paint has turned into near on a full rebuild. New pistons, rings, rod and main bearings, rod bolts, main bolts, oil pump and drive timing chain and gear set, cam, lifters, timing cover, balancer inlet valves, valve springs, retainers, locks, valve covers, rockers, pushrods, manifold, carby, rocker covers, air filter, pulleys, water pump and all external bolts. The gearbox has been fitted with a billet servo cover and extra capacity pan. so if they leave me alone by the end of the week the engine and box should be ready to go back where they belong. |
