new zealand replica

I stumbled on to the 53barchetta site...car built by cobra replica manufacturer Grahame Berry Race Cars....have any of you gents had a look at this car? Comments? Front suspension looks familiar, maybe some crosspollination from a Cobra replica? Could a SB fit? Or maybe Honda S2000 motor and trans, rather than Alfa? 240hp in a car that light could be fun!

Hi,
checkout web site www.kiwiracecars.com

Graham Berry was one of the first in the world to produce replica inconjuction with ALMAC cars. Graham Berry is famous in NZ for his drag racing chassis, and racing.

I saw a few of these back in the 80's in NZ (Where I grew up). I've still got the NZ Hot Rod magazine with the article on Graham and Almacs cars. I got to sit in one of his cars at Bay Park race way where I was drag racing my bike. I think that started the interest in Cobras for me.

Here's the NZ Hot Rod Mag. The rest of the article is in my Gallery

Hey Mike that's funny, I have saved that magazine too. It had the same impression and influence on both of us. They make a top notch car I have seen some well put together versions. I believe it could also be set up with about anything you want for a powerplant but there's those that Ford and those that can't a-Ford!
