Cheap L98 crate engines on eBay
Heads up for anyone in the market for a 6.0L for their Cobra. WASP (Ballarat Holden) have 4 for sale @ $3700 ea. That's the lowest retail price I've seen since they were released.

They run an ad in Just Parts magazine every month and usually have some cheap stuff in there as well.

Ask them the price for the whole cobra package. That's the engine and all the bits and pieces. |

I've been told that the current batch of crate engines floating around are the last surplus engines that Holden will be releasing before DoD is reintroduced in Sept '09. So for anyone sitting on the fence it might be worth ordering soon. Also Preston Motors (Kevin Newell) has a few very rare V5B variant LS2 engines from HSV that were destined for the Club Sport. They're apparently higher powered with modified cranks and he's asking $3900.

I purchased an L98 from Preston Motors (Kevin Newell) 2 weeks ago Engine cost $3700.00, starter$140.00,generator $210.00, module $650.00, harness $277.00 all up $5,474.70. Kevin is good to do business with.
