How to build a Cobra in 4:27
Hi All
I have finally managed to upload my build video and have included it here. I reckon I took longer to produce the video than build the car!! Many thanks to Craig White for the technology and to all those (too many to name) who helped me with my build - especially those with cameo appearances in this clip. Hope you enjoy. Geof |
Now that is efficient manufacturing...:p

Well done what a fantastisc record of your build.
I think my build would feature too much of me sitting around in the shed drinking beer. |
Thats Fantastic!
Regards. |
Awesome!

Geof, whats the name or code for that blue, its great.
Regards. |
Great video there Geof.
Love the idea with the doona, I can see one of those being donated to the Cobra after I get it painted. |
Excellent Geof! Have you removed the camera yet? Could be a useful anti-theft device.
Cheers, Merv |
You made short work of that - well done ;)

Cheers All.
I just wish that I had set it all up to capture the first half of the build as well although that could get a bit tedious. Quote:
Thankfully, the camera was controllable so I switched it off during the most ‘boring’ parts of the build, mostly where I was just scratching my head (although there is a bit of this if you look carefully!!) Quote:
The blue is Impulse Metallic from the VY/VZ/VE Commodore range. Quote:
If you don’t steal my car then you will never find out!!! |
The video must be a fake.....I didn't see anyone throwing tools.
Great video how/what did you use to capture it? |
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!
|
Outstanding and fun to watch. Reminds me of one of my favorite movies, "The Time Machine."
|
Love the video, very clever, well done, and Thanks for sharing. :)

Brillian!

Camera

I turned the camera off during the throwing of tools!!! The camera was (if I remember rightly) a Canon SureShot G2 (thanks again Craig) with the RemoteCapture software. An excellent combination for this kind of thing. I mounted the camera at the top of the wall and had a shelf below where I sat a laptop which I plugged in any time I was working on the car. The software is very configurable so I set the frame rate according to the activity I was undertaking. While I was lying under the car running fuel lines, I set it at one shot every 30 minutes (boring). Installing the engine – one shot every 30 seconds (just to *capture the moment*). I then wrapped up the images to a movie file then added the extra footage with MS MovieMaker. Cheers Geof |
Super job. Thanks for sharing.
|
that was-is fantastic! What a great documentary of your build. Thanks for sharing.

Well done "One F" ... a brilliant job, and a real credit to you (and of course Gina).
Regards, Warren. |
