headers extractors for LS2/Harrison
Hi,
I am new to the forum and have commenced collecting items for a Harrison cobra project. The following ebay link has headers extractors available at a reasonable price. I have an LS2 engine. Would these be likely to fit into the Harrison chassis? Any feed back aprreciated. Reagrds Jeff http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LS1-LS2-GEN-3...1%7C240%3A1318 |
G'day,I've got similar on My VYSS, they certainly would not fit in my Harrison, not much room at all. I think "block huggers are what you need. Some one told me Warwick Harrison makes his own to suit. Worth a phone call.

Yes Warwick has them made locally and they are great. Just talk to him.

Jeff,
My Harrison Cobra has a LS2 and Warwick is organising the headers for an early '09 install. He gets them custom made locally. Cheers |
I am happy with mine Jeff. They were custom made (302) in SS and then coated and then the same guy does the rest of the system. He works fast too if you get it booked thru Warwick (2 days). It is up to you whether u coat the entire system. Depends on how much other insulation you have along the tunnel and how you want it to look.

I'm going to get mine from Warwick as well.
I've heard that vapours from the HPC coating can foul the O2 sensors and cause them to fail and throw error codes. Anyone know if this is a legit problem? |

I dont know if this is an issue with the HPC coating. But can verify the blue paint used on the "pacemaker" branded headers can and soes cause issues with the LS1 O2 sensors. I know this as I was working as Service department manager with a Holden dealership at the time when an internal bulletin was issued to all dealers advising warranty claims would be rejected if sensors where tested and found to be damaged by this paint. Dealerships should have advised customer no warranty on the sensor due to non genuine exhaust. |
