It's a start!!
Small steps have been made with the beast.
Looked for a before shot and this was the best I had in the files for comparison but at least taken at a similar angle. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...n_2_Oct_06.JPG Now it looks like this! I'll need sunglasses changing the oil and plugs! http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...y_3_Large_.JPG And the chassis is on Marty's trailer and will be in his shed tomorow. Just awaiting a bellhousing and associated bits from Mr Dellow and the new motor and new gearbox will be allowed to mate. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get a 347 out of the union?? Cheers |
That yellow will get some attention.
:D :D :D |
Proper Cobra's are BLUE !
Get with the program Slowy LB |
Dammit, not another yellow one.

Any metallic or pearl in the mix? |
The safety boss wanted a bright non-blue colour, something just like..............ehem yours Michael.
And your ok Boxhead you're different with your brown, so we're all cool. I think there's a little sparkle in the stripe colour Paul. And wait till he has to do the rest of the body. |
Mine will be Devil Yellow when I get around to paint.
The guy who did my wiring has just ordered a SC540 and he is going to be Yellow with Black stripes, just like mine. There will be more yellow ones than blue soon. |
Boxhead I don't recall you alluding to a finished colour when we caught up but there's nothing wrong with yellow.
One of the first cobra's built was painted some form of yellow and I think blue came later, so the real program is to get all the cars into yellow!! I'd have to say my first colour choice was in fact a traditional blue with white stripe. But as I've said before, getting approval to purchase from the finance department was the biggest hurdle, so SWMBO's choice in colour, within reason, was a reasonable trade for being able to just get a kit! Cheers |
The Wasp is Devil Yellow [GM]
Parked next to it at ShelbyFest we couldn't pick the difference from my Rapid Yellow [Ford] -(probably the same formula) LB |
Michael in the shade I'd agree, but when there was some sun on both the cars I was of the opinion that Wasp's colour had a more golden tinge to it. I did take comparison photos with both cars in shot but of course the photos do no justice.
In this respect I'd say it was a very subtle difference but as it was the war office's decision anyway, who am I to argue, and yes Rapid is Ford and going to the Devil is GM. What the heck!! Cheers |
That's why you guys look so cool ! Looking at the yellow cars you need sunglasses so the perception is cool guys in sunnies ! :P
|
Oh and with the added protection of improved vision and roundabouts too I am hoping!!
