Gday Guys
Im new to this forum and had a question.
Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the XJ6 series 2 and the series 3 rear ends.

No not really, only ratio options

The XJS 89-95 H.E. (high effciency) with aluminum rear cover is a good heavy duty unit.
I have one in mine. A stock one is 2.88 but you can have it changed to the ratio of your choice.

I am no expert on this by any means, but I believe that the inner axle on the Series III is longer than the XKE Series I/II length. This is of particular significance to ERA owners, but it might not be to you.:D You might also want to get an opinion on this from somebody who really knows what they're doing (and not just me).
