To give you a counter point, Greg is spraying my car as you know, and as a professional he has said to me he will be spraying the stripes and clear coat in one job. I'm familiar with the concept of wet on wet spraying, so this struck me as normal obviously to minimise time. With a bit of research this may be a possibility for you too if doing stripes and clear coat. If I could spray worth a damn and wasn't on my third strike for self poisoniong due to inadvertant exposure to epoxy resin fumes and TDI/MDI paints I'd have had a go too. All food for thought lads. Might just give it a light sand and fill then tinted prime until I've saved up for the pro job - a happy medium to make it look respectable for rego.
Slowy, I have some after hours work to get done this week so probably 50/50 at this stage. Will be at Kenmer on Saturday fitting my seats - got them back from Jeff, good job too. |
