Aluminium Laquer

Does anyone know of a good laquer that can be applied to aluminium to prevent it tarnishing, preferably one which is UV resistant, washable and reasonably tough.

Treat the alloy with alodine 1100 then spray with a 2 pack clear. You can also polish with "flitz" every couple of months.

I don't think that's entirely ethical. How many sharks had to die to cover a whole Cobra? :(

PETA will be after you if your not careful.

Wouldn't the car smell a bit fishy?

POR15 make one.: http://www.ppc.au.com/topcoat_glistenpc.htm

I've not used it but worth looking at.

Keep it simple.

I have found that 2pac clear is great it is uv stable and esy to put on and gives a hard wearing surface.
Dont use on things near hi heat as it will yellow on things like bellhousings.

oz.
