There are certainly discussions happening here in Victoria between several cobra builders trying to get some sensibility into the process.

Ideas such as regression to ADR 37/1, I think, allows use of the venerable 302, and given the limited number of cobras that would do this and their usual better than normal build state, what poofteenth of an impact are we going to cause to the air environment from these cars?

Next to nothing, particularly considering how many poorly maintained mainstream vehicles are out there running these motors as standard fittment from new but now 200K or more old in usage terms.

The National Hot Rod guidelines are just that guidelines but I think the States are tending to follow these. If we had ICV guidelines or better still Shelby replica guidelines we could cover our genre or wider variant of cars and dumb out the State vehicle authority variations in interpretation of our rules.

Here's hoping anyway!
