Gawd!, so Tomcat, you are one of those responsible for ruining the fond memories of the place where I grew up. ;)

The place I caught fresh water cray in the creek.
The place I enjoyed my first cigarette.
The place I'd hang out when wagging school.
The place I took my very first girlfriend.
The place I lost my virginity even ...... hope you are ashamed of yaself

Mid 70's I was in Townsville while you lot were raping my old stamping grounds. :p:)

Actually Tomcat, I was delighted to get away from the place .... too sorta southside for me.

Apologies Roger - slight diversion on said topic.

Mr Les.................

Avoided any involvement on the 3rd or is that the 4th bridge Redcliffe is getting - I'm sure they'll get it right in the end.

Currently building toll gantries on the Gateway & Logan Motorways designed to catch all that pass under!

Small tip - the cameras are designed up to 180 km/h - read into that what you will;)

Been a while on here - hey if you passing your old haunt (Pre-Westfield Carindale) call in for a chat. It must be 3 or 4 years since you graced our presence%/

Thanks for the heads up re the cameras. good to know. :)

Pete, I'd enjoy a stopover at your place if only I could get some time. Send me a phone number by PM in case I am in the vicinity and about to "drop in"

Cheers.

Well 2 things happened for me today-6th August,2009
1) I'm now the proud owner of Boss 260+ 6 speed etc, & collect it next Tuesday

&
2) Made arrangements with Mr Harrison and I get chassis #100.....a red latter day for me and hopefully a special one for Warwick.........100 chassis' something to be pretty proud of I reckon !!

so now the fun begins in earnest, I've got about 12 weeks to get the shed & the garage cleaned out to make room for the build--------------And I can't wait :))

well Merv I have already suggested that one to Warwick, so I guess we'll see!
I happen to have a nice piece of brass plate that would be suitable too ! :)

Well geoff how about a pic of a " hair lip!":LOL::D

Merv and Sharon 08-06-2009 05:28 AM

I was thinking that but would never say it!

I am #80 but the number 8 is considered "lucky"

The eighth day was new after God rested.
There are 7 days in a week and the 8th day is a new beginning.
Christ rose on the 8th day which was a new beginning for the world
and circumcision was always done on the 8th day. Perhaps not so lucky ...

Roger,

congratulations on ordering a great kit. I seem to recall Warwick was going to try and have a celebratory BBQ for the first 100 kits he built...with all 100 owners.

regards

Mick

Merv and Sharon 08-06-2009 04:01 PM

Yeah, my memory was pretty clear on that too! Involved drinks, BBQ and free memorabilia as I recall.

Merv

Wazza 08-06-2009 04:19 PM

Because I know that Warwick rarely gets a chance to look at this forum, and that I'm always having to pass on any good forum info/comments to him as I drink his "Free" coffee nearly every day....I'll make sure he knows about the groundswell regarding the upcoming 100th.celebrations / b.b.q / pi$$ up !!

Cheers,

Warren,
Harrison no.97

sambo 08-06-2009 04:39 PM

if Warwick throws in the airfare I'm there!

There goes any profit Warwick was gonna make on the 100th Cobra.

Just had to be a some one from the south east side ruin the whole deal. ;)

macloft 08-06-2009 09:24 PM

I'll be there, just a little airfare for me warwick can put the bill on Warrens car I am sure Warren will not notice. My car is 73 so following Mervs logic I am number 1 therefore I really should be there**)
Did he count the FF5 cobras and Daytonas as part of his numbering system. If so then is 100 really number 100? Could be dodgey%/
