Snakebite

Can anyone tell me if Snakebite is still in operation? I have found that there are no longer available any soft-top bow sets or stone guard (fender protectors) for the Harrison (the latter "may" be available from another source but only after a 12 month+ wait).

Merv, send an email to Craig White ( craig@racecarreplicas.com.au )

He was handing the on-line orders for Don at Snakebite and given the now closer association with Don building the RCR range of cars, he would be able to assist you with that info.
or:
Give Craig a telephone call on 07 3103 0957.

Don has moved operation to share larger premises with RCR.... in Telford place , Labrador ( Peter Beehag's warehouse ).....

pretty well across the road from Warwick Harrison's shop.

I just phoned Vicki Pilling to get the best contact for Don...

Phone 07 55290877
.....he may not always answer...but has a voice
mail , and he will get back to you.

Merv...

I have the "lucky last " set of Don's stainless steel soft top bows etc. sitting upstairs here at my warehouse, with my pile of other stuff for the new Cobra.

I don't believe he's making anymore spats ( fender protectors ) either.

Cheers,
Warren

Wazza

Make that 2 of the last remaining bow sets, mines upstairs also as I've never
had the courage to drill any holes in the bodywork.

I know I know, us southerners should all have soft tops.

I appreciate that you have found a set Merv, but for anyone else wanting a set of Bows, contact Neil Streeting on (02) 9520-5006. He may have some good news for you.

The ones I can get from Don at Snakebite are from a CR I believe and will need adapting. Are the ones from Neil the same?

Craig informed me 6 mths ago that they were looking for a new manufacturer of stoneguard spats but nothing yet...

Does anybody know of an alternative supplier for Homebush?

Stainless Stone gaurds have been a problem with Harrisons for ages... I started chasing some nearly 2 years ago I reckon and in the end gave up.

Seek alternative ideas and ye shall be happy with outcome. I was.

What were your alternatives Spook?

True! I have had that as the fall back but I believe that there are no easy ways with these either, as everyone is different. That is, no Harrison template/guide.

Merv, as they say....if it was easy everyone would be doing it!!!!

I heard from WH that the last set of Stainless stone gaurds that went on a Harrison didn't fit so well anyway!

Mando 07-26-2009 10:17 PM

I bought stone guards from Finishline for the CR. They fit reasonably well but they shouldnt take a metal worker to long to get that perfect fit.

Regards.
