Australias Fastest Cobra at the NATS???
Don't laugh! I have seen and read a few articles this year about some newly built Cobras being touted as possibly Australia's fastest ever cobra. There is one being advertised in Unique Cars from Sydney I think plus there was a Street Machine article written this year as well......
I'm just wondering if any of these cars will be coming to the Nats to illustrate the statement or whether its all puff and wind????? Seems alot of the "street" racers in their fastest Oz Cobras never ever get to the race track to demonstrate their proclamation.... Put the statement to the test I say.... ;) SpookypT |
Sales Pitch Matt:rolleyes:
How to set your car against the rest - Sensationalism! Sells papers%/ |
Pete, Maybe maybe.... But what if its just a statement rather than a sales pitch....? You'd think you could only afford to make such a claim if you're prepared to back it with fact....
So far I ain't seen it? Probably never will.... Highjack... you doing Indy this year???? I haven't heard much in the way of whats happening this year? |
I guess it depends on how you want to judge who's the fastest.
Drags??.....Track......?? I'm guessing that a Cobra with a dyno showing over 1,000 r.w.h.p. is going to be a lot faster than one with ...say...300 rwhp. I don't need to race against it on a circuit to know that he's the faster one !! He may not get around a circuit any faster...but then again with that sort of H.P. the straights would be at warp speed, so it he was to just "point and squirt" ir should get around pretty quick smart. Ask Greg Hood what it's like when 600 plus horses all want to run hard at the same time......it can be a handfull. It's your time to shine Spook!!.... We're expecting some quick times from you to show all those "Puff and Wind" guys who's boss !! |
All I can say fellas is be careful. A whole lot of power can get you in a whole lot of trouble as Greg found out a few years back.

I thought you'd chime in Seenyour Boylaaarn! I'm not judging....I'm just curious to see the statement makers actually make a statement!!! That's all......
Another way of saying it I guess is "Just cause you got a big donga doesn't make ya great in the sack" so to speak..... When it comes to driving, which was a specific I was sorta referring too, well anyone can spend a gozillion bucks on a car.....but driving it quick is another thing altogether I'd suspect! I dont wanna shine Wazz... It's not about me at all.... Not proclaiming to be anything but enjoy a blat around the track....Besides... it's not a competition is it?????? OK you got me.... when I see the red dragon looming behind me I admit that a certain focus does take me over..... And that's about the only time I like have ing YOU behind me! Lol And never mind my times..... are you confident the red beast will be ready for this years racing... Oh I mean social track event! |
The most??
Hey Wazza just because a car has a 1000 hp does not mean it is Australia's fastest cobra The bench mark for a cobras has long been the nationals as a way of finding the best all round cobra ......
Get your hand off it. your car will get finished quicker. oz. |
It's me Spook. I've got the 1000 rwhp LS9 shagmobile. NSW rego and more authentic than Mr Greco's. Now go pop a tube of KY and have a good lie down.
