Daytona
Hi Liam,
Still in the painting process :(:( The caar is in 1000 bits again, power coating suspension, Coating exhaust, making pannels for the engine bay, redoing the dash (so I can read the appropriate gauges) modifying the rear to fit different wheels,,,, teh list goes on. STIFFY |
Earth movers
The concreters do not remove old concrete and bricks so it was left to a mates company (Rafferty The Wrecker) to remove all the old crap.
They did and it pi++ed with rain last nite which does not help:eek::eek: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/DSCF2090.JPG Mud http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/DSCF2091.JPG More Mud http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/DSCF2092.JPG The concreter arrive tomorrow.....:D STIFFY |
Keep the updates rolling Stiffy.
Wish I could send some of the Alice Springs dry weather your way. |
Boxhead,

Dust
Quote:
So at the National last year when you said "Eat my dust...":LOL: Mick |
It has taken 12 months to happen, but it has finally happened :)
Good call Mick, I like the way you think. |
More Earthmoving
The concrete guy's were there yesterday and they removed 200cubic meters of clean soil.
They levelled the site ready for the footings. First issue, the sewer pit is 4.5 meters under the original outlet pipe :( as it has to be moved the plumber has some digging to do %/. Tractor http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/DSCF2098.JPG Clean site http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/DSCF2107.JPG Drive http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/DSCF2111.JPG STIFFY |
Progress Stiffy, it is always a good thing
|
That's a fair old soil cut Stiff, how deep are your foundations to be?
Looks like you are building the Taj Mahal after all??!! |
Progress
Guy's,
The slab is going ontop of the level as you look at it. The builder ses out the job tomorrow, the sparky lays his cables tomorrow, the plumber on Monday, the slab on Tuesday. The brickie is starting 5-7 days after the slab is layed. STIFFY |
You could put in a swimming pool at the same time?
Merv |
I think Stiffy might have the decimal point in the wrong spot for his quantities, just make sure your not paying by the cubic meter to remove the soil Stiffy.
|
Cut
Stuartt,
The clean soil removal was part of the concrete quote, bloody dear though. Merv, This is Victoria we dont need pools.....:LOL: An 8 person spa is planned for the house (with extra special filters ) :D STIFFY |
In QLD we don't need spas ....
|
Stiffy, keep the pictures coming. Love to see your progress as you go along.
Regards. |
