Hood Props

Could someone give me some ideas for hood props on our B&B cobras. One that would catch so the hood would not fall or blow back. The attachment into the hood looks like a problem as it cannot be bolted through.
Thanks
Lou

I don't know if this'll work on a B&B but this was my solution for a LSC.

Thanks Undy, so your saying sheet metal screws will work in the fiberglass hood?

Yep, that's what I used. #8 & #10 hex head stainless steel screws. They bit real good in the fiberglass.

Undy,
is that a complete setup you purchased? If so where from and how much?
Do you have any pictures of how it mounts to the body?
Thanks, Jim

No, it's not a kit. The struts came from McMaster Carr and the bracketry I fabricated myself out of 0.080" aluminum sheet. The brackets reinforces the fender to the fenderwell by tieing it all together.

Now I've no more worries at shows with the wind unloading the hood brace and busting fiberglass when the hood slams down on top of the rod.

Here's a coiple pics of the bottom end.
