clutch/ignition interlock

Is there a standard way to make it so the car can not start in gear?
In modern production cars you have to have the clutch pressed in to start it, is that the easies way? How can that be done?

Thanks, Jim

If you have a Tremec transmission, they have a neutral switch that can be wired in series with the starter circuit, or you can install a switch on the clutch pedal (similar to a mechanical brake light switch) that can be wired in series with the starter circuit.
