Wheels & tires
We're looking to do a bit larger wheels on our Cobra, for looks as well as performance. For the rear, we are looking along the lines of 16 or 17", with 275/40/17 size in the rear (ideally) or 245/50/16 if we went with a 16".
Has anyone used wheels of this size on a B&B kit successfully? What offsets if so? The fronts probably wouldn't allow for as much tread width, but we'd like to know any weird combinations people have run. Thanks in advance Fred Green My Cobra |
Depends on the manufacturer of the wheels as how they measure the offset for fitament.
Motorsport Specialties, makers of Halibrand Compomotives has a great web site for this with detailed instructions. They are at www.usacomp.com Norris the salesman and Alan the builder of the wheels were great to work with. Not to mention "They Guarantee Fitament"! I have an 8.8" rear end, live axel. I have 245/45-17's front on 8" wheels and 285/40-17's rear on 10.5" wheels. Let us know what you come up with. |
Wheel Back space
What kind of backspacing did you get on these wheels and what type of suspension are you running,
Car looks great did you do the build. |
