Tons of choices on ebay. Also, most good auto parts stores have a few choices to select from.

redline goods would probably make you a custom one.

Any upholstery shop that caters to cars can make you one...just had the interior redone in my Cobra (changed from tan vinyl to black leather) and the shifter boot was one of the things they included in the job.
Cheers!

I found a perfectly suitable one at J.C. Whitney, of all places. It fit with my chrome ring and is made of black leather. Inexpnsive.
I found the rubber boot on my TKO-600 shifter would cause it to pop out of gear. The leather boot keeps this from happening.

Leather Shifter Boot
AutoZone - great fitting universal leather boot for 10 dollars. The one I purchased was black leather with red stitching. I didn't want the red stitching so I used a black spray paint which worked out great. I have been using this boot for about 4 years and it still looks and works. Great.

Did it fit under the chrome ring and how did you keep it in place?
Thanks,
Lou

For $20 I picked up a previously enjoyed, 3/4 length black leather coat from one of the local thrift stores. It has lots of leather and will be the basis for a new boot once I change out the shift lever and know what I'm dealing with.

Did it fit under the chrome trim ring and how did you attach it?
Thanks,
Lou

I used contact to glue it onto the underside of the ring first. Roughen up the chrome first.

Lou,
I did trim some of the leather around the base but that was all I had to do for a great fit. The one I'm using has a small lace that allows you to tighten it around the shifter for a clean look. I installed the new leather one right over the existing rubber boot using the standard chrome ring and mounting screws without any issues. I retained the rubber boot because I was concerned about heat and noise if I was just using the leather. I'm running a Steeda TriAxial billet shifter on my car and I think that the leather boot looks much better than the original rubber unit. I can send you a photo if you want to see the install.

Sorry that it took me so long to get back to you but I had carotid artery surgery on both sides. However I' back in the saddle again. I would love to see the photo of the install.
Thanks,
Lou

Hope you are doing well. I'm traveling at the moment but will be back at our summer location in a couple of days. I will get a photo of the install posted at that time. It was inexpensive solution that allowed me to use the original trim ring and it worked out great.
