Clutch Cable Fix

Hi All,

I have an older B & B (about 2001). The clutch cable system is not the best and after a while, the cable wears and snaps. I hear there might be a fix out there or it may have been redesigned/improved at some point. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I did for the same reason you are experiencing.

Working good for 9 years!

Also, another cable problem:
Larry's Home Page
It's been working beautifully for 11 years now!

No more cables!

Hope this helps.

Infletcher- it looks great and it's track record is amazing. You probably would have spent over $160 in cables.

I will have to give it a try once it gets cooler. 91 degrees today in NJ!

Appreciate your time.

I also have a B&B with a hydraulic actuated clutch setup using a Wilwood slave cylinder. It is a great setup that has been trouble free. One thing to be a aware of is to make sure that your slave cylinder is in correct allignment with minimal to no side load. If the slave cylinder experiences any significant amount of side load the internal seals will fail and you will be rebuilding or replacing the unit. If you convert from your current cable setup to hydraulic you will never regret making the change.

Appreciate your help regarding the B & B Cutch. Did you have to fabricate something to connect the pedal to the slave cylinder or was it something you could find off the shelf?

Thanks Appreciate the help.

Use the Rod end that comes with the slave cylinder

I used the rod end that came with the slave to connect the clutch pedal to the master cylinder.
