Bolt on Motor Mounts
 
Hi,

Has anyone out there bolted their motor mounts to the frame? If so, did you use 3/8 or 1/2in. bolts?

Hard to tell what size it is after the motor is in. Looks like half inch. I took my rubber motor mount to the hardware store and got the largest grade 8 bolt that would fit. Jim

Motor Mounts
 
I thought that might be the way to go originally but am very glad I welded them, the measurements B&B gave me where right on the nose, I did install the Eng. on the mounts and lowered the Eng. in to make sure the header pipes fit the side pipes straight and the front pulleys cleared the cross member. If you can find a way to weld I would highly recommend it.
