Speedo Cable Routing
Hi Guys,
What is the best route to take for the speedometer cable once it leaves the back of the speedometer? Does it need to go through the firewall and loop under; can it run through the gap where the firewall meets the trans tunnel? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Getting close to turning the Key!! Jim |
I too am pondering that as well. I am using the reverse winding speedoi adapter which puts its at a 90 right angle as well...so it exits the speedo and heads either down or across not straight our to the footbox wall

If I remimber it turns right in back of the eng and goes aft, there will only be a slight turn becuase the cable is just long enough to reach, it will not evan touch the engine. good luck

Cable
I ran mine to the top right of the passenger foot box, split a firewall gromett and siliconed it to the lower firewall. Then I ran it down the frame rail and attached it with rubber clamps. Doesn't touch anything.
Good luck. |
