Puller Fan

I have the stock B&B custom 4 cour radiator. I am looking for an electric puller fan for it. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a 16" fan from Perma-Cool. Got it through Summit. Part number prm-19115 plus wiring kit prm-19001. Works great for me. Engines never been over 190 degrees. Jim

Did you use the plastic tabs through the radiator to mount it, or how did you mount it?

Thanks,
Tom

Tabs through the radiator. I didn't even look at the wiring diagram that came with the fan. Just hooked up the wires from the Haywire harness. Temp. sensor has two wire hook up. One needs to be grounded. Jumper the two together through a switch and you have a manual control too. Jim

I recommend against the plastic zip ties that mount through the rad. It is only a matter of time before the rad core will be leaking.

I used the same fan, made a nice little bracket out of 1/2" angle iron worked out real nice, painted it and mounted it to the frame.:)

I used a Scotts 16" and it works fine. Some are recommending the Spal as the fan of choice.

Whatever you use for a fan, mount it with a bracket to the rad, or rad frame. Don't use those plastic through-the-rad pieces or it will damage your rad.
