Does anyone know what vehicle or vehicles B & B gets their 8.8" rearend from ?

Are the rearends modified for the B & B kit at all?

Most of them come with Lincoln Mark VII rear ends. They are easier to find than a mustang one. They are about 2 inches wider with 11.6 inch disk brakes. Even with deep offset rims the tires stick out of the wheel wells just a bit. I have the lincoln rear end and I'm going to change the axle shafts and put in Ranger ones to narrow the width. Jim

I have an SN95 rearend, which is about 3/4" wider on each side. Would I be able to use the same method to narrow? What about the caliper mounts?

Hi Guy's, I just did this, my rear end was also from a lincoln, it was an open 3.27, I had put a power trax no slip differential in it, that cost me about $425.00, I ended up selling the whole thing, I bought a new 8.8 rear end from Fms with 3.73 gears, I bought the ranger axles for $60.00 for the pair from Decy Figueroa on the Cobraforum, I bought the new brake brackets from Richard Oben of North Cobras or North Racecars, I put the whole works together, oh I needed brakes from a 94-98 mustang, I shaved about 4" off total, no more rubbing at all and it looks like it should, to me anyway, I was able to lower the car with the coilovers so it doesn't sit all hiked up in the rear:) I have about $1000.00 in the new rear, but I sold the old one for $500.00 cut my losses and I am much happier, I wish they would have told me I would get a lot of rubbing if I tried to run bigger tires I would be money ahead to have had Bryan narrow it before I got it for $500:rolleyes: I am running 15x9.5 wheels and 275-60-15 tires, now it all fits under snug as abug!!!:3DSMILE: Oh, I absolutely love the 373's!!!:3DSMILE:

What backspacing are you running on the rear wheels?
